The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon defies being put into words, they cannot live up to the reality. It’s as if someone has pulled the sky down below the horizon and painted it red and orange. It lives up to the hype (and the name).
Wupatki National Monument
After the Grand Canyon I visited the Wupatki settlement. People lived here some 1500+ years ago, and about 300 people would have lived in this settlement. The settlement is thought to have collapsed due to a nearby volcanic eruption.
